4-Ingredient Recipes You Can Make At Home

The modern era is a busy one, and most of us don’t have the time or the energy to cook a full meal after a long day at work. It’s a common myth that cooking requires a lot of preparation and time – in fact, cooking can be done easily at home with as little as 4 ingredients in total.

If you’ve been finding that you don’t have a lot of time at the moment to cook long and complicated meals, check out these 4-ingredient recipes that are designed to be quick, simple, and healthy.

      Sloppy Joes

A sloppy joe is a true classic, and it’s as simple to eat as it is to cook. They usually consist of just four ingredients: an onion, a green pepper, mince, and a bun. The great thing about sloppy joes is their versatility, and the mince can be tweaked in almost endless ways to get unique flavours.

Consider replacing the green bell pepper for one or two cloves of fresh garlic and frying it up alongside the onion to give the mince a delicious garlic flavour. Don’t forget the salt and black pepper for seasoning.

      Pan Fried Fish

If you happen to have a large iron skillet at home, it’s the perfect opportunity to create a seafood platter at home, one that can be mixed and matched in countless ways. The fish is the star of the show, and you want to try and find a fish that sears well when placed on extremely hot iron, such as salmon or tuna.

Combine the fish with broccoli, sliced red pepper, and whole cloves of garlic, and you’ve got an instant meal that only requires a small dash of seasoning and olive oil over top, and a few minutes in the oven.

      Spinach And Feta Pie

A pie might seem impossible to make with 4 ingredients, but it actually couldn’t be easier. You’ll want to get a hold of some puff pastry, a bowl of fresh spinach, two or three blocks of feta, and some garlic for extra flavour. Shallow fry the onions and garlic together in some olive oil, before adding the spinach alongside some salt and pepper, and whichever seasons you feel would improve the flavour.

Let the spinach cook down and kill the heat – great for enjoying real money blackjack Canada – and while it’s cooling down, break the feta into small pieces and sprinkle it over the spinach. Line a bowl with puff pastry, fill in the spinach filling, and close off the top with more pastry. Bake at around 180 degrees until the pastry is golden brown.

      Corn And Bean Mix

Another easy but delicious recipe that’s not only tasty but extremely healthy. A cup of frozen corn, a can of kidney beans, a can of tomato and onion mix, and two cloves of garlic. Fry the tomato and onion mix up with paprika and curry powder, add the garlic, and when everything is at a simmer, pour in the kidney beans and corn. Cover and allow to simmer for 15 minutes before serving.
